Tea Party Favors

Party favors have always been one of my favorite things to prepare for events. Even when I was a little girl helping my mom plan my birthday celebrations, I always enjoyed the job of putting together little goody bags for each of my friends. I feel like it is important to come up with something special for your guests to take away with them so they can remember what a fun experience they had!  It is especially fun for me to come up with tea party gift ideas!  There are so many options that don't have to be too involved or expensive.  Sometimes I'll just leave  a simple card with an inspirational quote or bible verse at each place mat for guests to take with them. Typically I'll use ones that have a tea party print or background to go along with the theme, but you don't have to be that specific. This is something that your friends can keep in their wallets or put on the refrigerator door to be seen often. However, I mostly prefer to give favors that ar...

Benefits of Drinking Tea

"If you are cold, tea will warm you; If you are too heated, it will cool you; If you are depressed, it will cheer you; If you are excited, it will calm you." ~William Ewart Gladstone I have always loved hosting and attending tea parties, but to be entirely honest, I've never been much of an expert on tea itself. I just know that I love it! However, I have begun making an effort to learn more about the history and development of tea as well as the differences among types of teas. I often joke about it being "magical" because of the joy and comfort it brings to my life. To me, as Gladstone expresses in the quote above, having a cup of tea always seems like the appropriate thing to do in the midst of nearly any situation that has me feeling distressed or anxious. I see it as a chance to step away fr...

"Disney Bounding"

Tea parties are clearly something that I absolutely love, but I think it's about time I share with you one of my other passions... and that is Disney! Any time I get the opportunity to mesh my two favorite things together, I do! One idea is hosting a tea party where everyone is encouraged to dress in an outfit that somewhat resembles a Disney character. This is called "Disney Bounding" and is a really popular trend right now with people who go to Disney parks a lot like me. Below are some pictures of three different tea parties I went to where this was the theme. Each time, we were at the Garden View Tea Room which is inside Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. But you don't have to be at Disney to do this! You can make your own Disney inspired tea party at home! It is so fun trying to guess what character each of your friends chose to represent by the details of their ensemble! As you can see, we all tried to give our Disney Bounds a bit of a so...
