This weekend I put together an Asian inspired tea party and it turned out so cute, I simply had to share!
These beautiful chop sticks, place mats, and tea set were all given to me by my friend Sandy D'Angelo, so of course I had to put together a special tea party with them! In addition, I decorated the table with a bamboo runner and a gorgeous orchid for the centerpiece!

For the tea, I chose Blackberry Jasmine Oolong Tea by Revolution Tea. I had been wanting to try it out since I received some samples in one of my Sips By boxes earlier this year. I decided that I wanted to use one of my "flowering" teas as well, so I broke out another tea pot - the one that goes with my Celebration Flowering Tea Set by Tea Bloom! (Take a look at my blog post and video, both from a while back, all about this unique tea set if you'd like to know more about what it includes and how it's used, etc...)
For the food, I served stir-fry with shrimp, rice, and mixed vegetables including carrots, red and yellow bell peppers, snow pees, green beans, and squash. For dessert, I baked homemade matcha green tea cake! (Mmmm! My mouth is watering all over again writing about this!)

I got the Matcha Cake Recipe from Epic Matcha because it looked very simple and I had everything in the ingredients list. However, I used Stash Organics Matcha Mate Green Tea leaves instead of the matcha powder that the recipe calls for. I will say that the end result didn't turn as green as in the photos on the site, which is probably due to my substitution. So just keep that in mind if you decide to make this yourself and would like the color to be more vibrant than mine are seen here. The flavor was still amazing! My mom even picked some orange petals from her flowers to use as garnish which was a nice touch!

It wouldn't be an Enchanted Tea with Dahlia, if I didn't get all dressed up, would it?! My grandma had given me this lovely kimono which I thought would be perfect!

All in all, I think everything came together very well! With this season of "quarantine-ing" I've had the opportunity to get creative with a few fun tea parties like this one. (Speaking of which, have you watched my video of the surprise birthday tea party threw for Princess Aurora?;) You know I'm always up for more too, so if you have any suggestions for new themes for me to try, please send them to me! (Either through social media or in the comments here!) Looking forward to hearing from you! Xo Love, Dahlia
