Alice in Wonderland Themed Tea Room

"Have I gone mad?" "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret, all the best people are." My friends and I loved being "mad" together at the Celebration Tea Room ! Now you may remember that I wrote about this location once before. (If not, you can read about my first visit HERE .) Today, though, was my first time in the Alice in Wonderland inspired section of the tea room, and it was a whole new experience! Well, really the service and menu options were the same as I remembered (and just as wonderful as last time too!) It was just the decor that made it feel so different to me, I suppose. As you can see, this room is very much themed after the classic story we all love so much. The details in this room were amazing to me and I'd love to highlight them for you! The paintings on the walls had to be my favorite because of the beautiful colors and the clever way some characters, such as the singing flowers and...

Luau Tea Party

I know it's already officially autumn, but I still haven't shared my final hurrah of the summer with you yet! Before the end of the season, I hosted a Hawaiian-style tea party! Now I can't take credit for this idea because my friend Tabitha is the one who suggested it! She arrived for her two week long vacation from Pittsburgh and on the second day of her trip here in Florida we started planning, looking up recipes, and shopping for all of the supplies we'd need to pull this thing together! It was awesome to have an assistant who was just as excited about everything as me! (So much so that she even agreed to wear a grass skirt!) So shout out to my girl Tabitha - thank you for all of your help! To take advantage of the gorgeous Florida weather and to provide the most appropriate setting, we decided to host the luau outside. This meant we'd need to serve *iced* tea to keep everyone cool! (Yes, that still qualifies as a tea party in my book!) We steeped si...

Picnic Tea Party

I hope everyone is having a delightful summer! My family and I wanted to do something special to celebrate the season this weekend, and what could be more summery than a picnic!? I thought this would be a great topic for my tea blog too because let's face it, a picnic is pretty much just an outdoor tea party anyway, right?! Especially when tea is your picnic beverage of choice... *iced* tea of course, since that Florida summer sun is shining bright!  Since this picnic was kind of a last minute affair, we just threw together some things that we already had at home. Though I think it all came together pretty well! Everyone who attended the gathering contributed to the meal. My grandma assembled delicious crab sandwiches, my mom made deviled eggs (one of my favorite snacks!), I prepared the iced tea, my sister whipped up a cheesecake, and our friend Dani brought the cookies! We had a bit of a peach theme with the peach iced tea and the cheesecake was also made with peaches....

Blooming Tea

This week I had so much fun using my new "Celebration Flowering Tea Set" by Tea Bloom  and I have been so looking forward to sharing the experience with you! There are four tea cups included, so it is ideal for a gathering of a few friends! You don't even have to prepare a center piece as the clear tea pot doubles as one itself with the flowers inside! (Note: the tea strainers are not a part of this set. I ordered mine from The English Tea Store .) It comes with a glass tea warmer which you can provide your own tea light inside to keep the tea warm! The image below shows it lit from underneath. I absolutely LOVE this feature since I like to take my time drinking tea. So often I find myself reheating it because it cools off too quickly in a regular pot. With this tea warmer, it stays warmer longer! The tea cups are so unique because they do not have handles. Before using them, I was wondering if they would be hot on my fingers when filled with tea....

Circus Tea Party

Hello again from Enchanted Teas with Dahlia! This year I turned 25 which I think is a special birthday (quarter of a century!) so I wanted to do something fantastic to mark the occasion! I decided to host a circus themed tea party heavily inspired by my current obsession with The Greatest Showman film! This event was so much fun to put together and I’ve so been looking forward to sharing the details with you! First off, I have to give credit to my mom for all of her help with this party! She came up with so many good ideas and helped bring my vision to life! She even transformed our dining room into a circus tent complete with floral pennants that we found while antiquing one day! You may remember that from one of my website’s previous featured videos...it is currently available on my YouTube channel if you want to watch it again or if your missed it the first time around, click here . I really think that these pennants help to tie in both the circus and tea party aspects of...
